REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

What is Regenerative Medicine?

Regenerative Medicine is any type of medical procedure that aims to replace or regenerate human cells, tissues or organs, in order to restore or establish normal body functions.

For example: In the case of the rejuvenation of photo-aged facial skin, the traditional treatments include transdermal collagen delivery systems or injecting collagen-producing fibroblasts. These are ways to add externally derived collagen to the skin, which may or may not be successful. Regenerative Medicine applications like PRP treatments take a different approach. PRP causes the body to produce new collagen by initiating a healing response.

Here is how it works:

PRP (derived from the patient’s own blood) when injected, can induce the body’s natural skin-healing mechanism: collagen synthesis. This means, the resulting collagen is still produced naturally by the body. The skin will see significant improvement in lesser time than it would take with external collagens. This makes a big difference, because there is not anything more natural and effective as your own body’s self-healing mechanism.

The healing market in the US is huge. Orthopedics alone stands at $1.7 billion in revenue generated for physicians and health centers. Wound healing is second with around $738 million in revenue. Soon, Regenerative Medicine will capture a huge market share in both of these segments as well as other related ones.

The beauty of PRP treatments is that it’s a win-win for both the doctors and the patients. Doctors get to treat patients more effectively without using any external drugs or difficult surgical procedures. Patients love the idea of using their own blood rather than a drug to cure their conditions. Typical treatments (which take about 30 min. to complete) cost between $800 and $1000 in most cases. The patients have to undergo at least two or three treatments every 4-6 weeks. Can you see the potential PRP Treatments have?

Wide Applications

PRP treatments can be used for almost all types of healing including:

  • Treatment of tendonopathy
  • Acute and chronic muscle strain
  • Ligament sprains and intra-artiligament sprains and intra-articular injuries
  • Joint pain such as  arthritis and knee meniscus damage
  • Cosmetic Procedures
  • Disc Regeneration
  • Dental Health
  • Wound Healing in Surgery
  • Cardiac Care
  • Skin Repair After Wounds or Surgery
  • Bone Regeneration

Flowing along with the growing trend of the public to seek more natural treatments, the use of human-derived tissue and autologous tissue (like PRP Treatments) will continue to see rapid growth in a variety of medical applications. As you can clearly see, the pioneers and early stage adopters of PRP stands a chance to be very well-rewarded for their work. Can you afford to take a chance and miss the boat?

Dr. PRP PRP Collection Kit

Why Dr. PRP

Dr. PRP benefits include:

Safe (CLOSED STERILE SYSTEM)

Since the system is sterile and closed, outside air is blocked with the double safety cap. Since the processing is all performed within the closed system, there is no chance of the PRP becoming contaminated.

Easy to Use

Our kits are pre-packaged, and Dr. PRP’s clear chambers ensure that you can see all of the blood sample’s components. The buffy coat layer can be easily seen in the neck of the device, meaning that you can precisely separate the components into the type of PRP you wish to produce. You can even eliminate Red Blood Cells from your PRP final product.

Quick and Convenient

The closed system of Dr. PRP allows for more treatments in less time. You can customize your final PRP composition for use in different situations. The PRP can (and should) be administered as soon as you prepare it with our kit - no advanced-preparation needed.

High Concentration

One kit holds 20cc of fluid - 3cc of anticoagulant with 17cc of whole blood - and produces 4cc of highly concentrated PRP. The platelet recovery percentage of Dr. PRP is higher than the minimum recovery percentage of other similar products from our competitors.

Consistent Results

Platelets require red and white blood cells to survive long term. Unlike gel separators that capture the platelets within the gel, our kit allows you to accurately create consistently efficient PRP at the concentrations that you want.

Quality

Our kit can recover 90% of platelets from a blood sample and produce a high-quality PRP.

FDA Registered

The kit is registered by the US-FDA for regenerative use by healthcare providers in med spas, treatment facilities, and labs. The FDA 510K is pending approval.

Patented Design

According to the ISO 13485, our kit is made with thorough gamma-ray sterilization system and only with biocompatibility-certification completed raw materials. Some swinging-out centrifuges are compatible with the Dr. PRP kit. We also offer adaptors for Harvest, EmCyte, and BioMet centrifuges.

Training & Support

When you buy Dr. PRP, you will receive one on one in-service training via GoToTraining, FaceTime or Skype, a User Manual with photos and descriptions that details how to use your new product, as well as information on PRP and test r esults. The Benefits of PRP Regenerative Therapy

image305

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a concentration of platelets taken from a s ample of the patient’s blood. PRP has a slew of healing and regenerative properties. It is just a matter of producing the proper concentration that you need for your specific condition. Use a kit that can prepare PRP the way you need it. The platelets in PRP aid in wound and injury healing, and increase soft tissue generation of collagen, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments.

Benefits of PRP include:

  • 100% safe - as the sample is prepared using the patient’s blood, there is no risk of rejection, infection, or allergic reaction
  • Convenient - it’s quick, surgery-free, and customizable to a specific ailment
  • Natural - PRP heals the patient with the patient’s own platelets

Accelerated Natural Healing With PRP

PRP is prepared by collecting a blood sample and centrifuging it to separate the platelet-rich plasma from the red blood cells and normal plasma. With the Dr. PRP kit, you can get a high platelet recovery rate, and formulate the PRP concentration cell inclusion/exclusion that you require.

Growth Factors in Platelets

When the platelets in PRP are activated, growth factors are released. These growth factors (GF) include:

  • Platelet-derived (PDGF-aa, PDGF-ab, PDGF-bb) 􀂨 these peptides are associated with glia, connective tissue, and muscle cell formation
  • Transforming (TGF-β1, TGF-β2) - regulates bone cell metabolism and encourages extracellular matrix formation
  • Vascular endothelial (VEGF) - promotes the creation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis)
  • Epidermal (EGF) - creates a new epithelium for a wound (re-epithelialization), encourages cell differentiation, the production of blood vessels, and collagenase activity
  • Fibroblast (FGF) - stimulates fibroblast and endothelial cells to increase in number, helps new blood vessel to form

According to the famous sports medicine expert, Brian J. Cole, M.D., M.B.A., a good orthopedic surgeon is one who works hard to prevent his/her patients from going under the scalpel. To this end, he advocates a lot of contemporary thinking and treatments like Platelet-Rich Plasma rather than the usual MRI-driven surgical procedures. We are seeing more and more orthopedic surgeons who are following the cues of the people like Dr. Cole and are genuinely astounded by the sheer number of surgeries they could avoid by a little poking around with alternative treatments.

As a powerful medium of regeneration,Platelet-Rich Plasma has seen the most aggressive growth in demand among patients suffering from Alopecia. This is despite the relative lack of evidence surrounding the treatment. All because the results of PRP Hair Regeneration just can’t be ignored.

Researchers are starting to take it more seriously now. New studies are emerging that prove the results are more than just opinions of dermatologists. The most recent one is a study published by Egyptian researchers (attached in references),where they analyzed the results of 90 patients for a period of 3 months using digital camera photography and dermoscopic scans, and concluded that Platelet-Rich Plasma is more effective in the treatment of Alopecia than widely accepted topical minoxidil 5% solution.

Prior to that, in a literature review by University of Miami and Brown University researchers (attached in references),they found that, among the 12 studies they looked at, 10 of them had positive results showing Platelet-Rich Plasma was beneficial in treating Alopecia.

Even though they’re licensed to perform surgeries,Osteopathic Physicians are primarily trained to keep their patient’s treatments as nonsurgical as possible. Furthermore, their philosophy leans towards prevention and overall wellness than on treating diseases. For these reasons, we believe Platelet-Rich Plasma is one of the best treatment options they have. After all, the Osteopathic profession was founded on the basis of the human body’s innate capacity to heal itself – the very function PRP injections perform. The Journal of American Osteopathic Association reviewed Platelet-Rich Plasma (study attached in references) a while ago and concluded that more studies are needed. Later another study was presented about a surprising case of an 18-year old high school football player's rapid healing of muscle injury (study attached in references) through Platelet-Rich Plasma. So even though PRP injections are not officially heralded as the future,Osteopathic Physicians stand to gain much, much more than from Platelet-Rich Plasma than others.

There are also thousands of doctors who swear by the efficacy of Platelet-Rich Plasma which seems to do a better job at healing patients, and at a much lower cost, than traditional medicine. This trend is only growing. One branch of medicine where it is particularly evident is Podiatry. We believe that Platelet-Rich Plasma is not as widely accepted in Podiatry as it should have. Making it the first line treatment for pain in the foot and ankle treatments will help orthopedic surgeons to reduce complication rates, achieve favorable clinical outcomes faster, and improve patient satisfaction.

Rheumatology is one of the fields of medicine that has immensely benefited from the advances of Platelet-Rich Plasma. This is because it turns out that Platelet-Rich Plasma Injection is one of the most simplest treatments for musculoskeletal diseases. However, they have not been pushing the limits of this novel treatment as well as the dermatologists.

Despite the recent trends, Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is still hugely under represented by the aesthetic community. The fact is,it’s a holy grail in the field – nothing else this non-invasive, non-surgical and pain-free can achieve the same home-run in terms of results that PRP swiftly delivers after just one 45 minute session performed in-office. Nothing else capitalizes on the natural healing properties of the human body. Plus, PRP can be a huge profit maximizer too.
